Located 50 miles north of Denver, Loveland is often called the "Gateway to the Rocky Mountains".

Over five million valentines have been mailed through the post office since 1947, earning Loveland the nickname of "Sweetheart City".

Loveland has an elevation of 4,982 feet and 300+ days of sunshine, which creates an exceptional place to live.

Located at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park and near the illustrious town of Estes Park, Loveland is a great location for outdoor enthusiasts. Loveland has over 24 public parks, three public golf courses, over 10 miles of bike and hiking trails, and sports and recreation complexes.

Loveland boasts one of the lowest crime rates in the state of Colorado. The Loveland Police Department is nationally accredited and committed to protecting the community. Each officer is equipped with a take-home police car for high visibility police presence and quick response time to emergencies.

Loveland has emerged as a major center for bronze sculpture in the United States. Loveland is home to two bronze foundries, which cast the works of both local artists and artists throughout the world. Approximately 50 well known artists work and live in Loveland, with over 400 additional people employed in the arts and related fields. Many pieces of sculpture can be viewed at the Benson Park Sculpture Garden. The Loveland Civic Center has one of the largest collections of publicly owned sculpture in the country.

Loveland is also home to Centerra, a 3,000+ acre master planned community. Centerra is a central retail, dining, and entertainment hub for Northern Colorado and surrounding areas. Currently, Centerra is about 25% developed. Centerra will bring many exciting new projects to the Northern Colorado area for years to come.
